Every charity 10k run should feature a pony

A perfectly formed team from Park Lane Stables took part in a 10k run organised by Bearcat Running Club on 12 June.

We were running to raise funds to help keep our hard-working therapy ponies in fine fettle with regular hoof care. So how better to do this than by dusting down our own hooves and pounding the paths around Petersham?

Our team included able-bodied volunteers and supporters running alongside friends and colleagues with disabilities, all united in the quest to do Park Lane Stables proud by crossing that finish line. Two of the team, Dan and Hannah, are accomplished runners despite have a visual impairment.

And it wouldn’t be Park Lane Stables without at least one pony taking part. A very excited Trigger, accompanied by Louis, finished the race alongside the rest of the team.

We’ve raised £1,800 so far, all of which will go towards farrier costs. It’s still possible to donate if you’d like to help tip us over £2,000!
