Prodney’s Blog: As CEO of Park Lane Stables I’m still prepared to get my hooves dirty
The humans have been saying their fingers were too frozen to type this week, but honestly, someone needs to do the admin around here. Needs must. Though how they expect me to do it when I don’t even have fingers is beyond me. And while the headset gives me a certain je ne sais quoi I don’t think they thought through how I’m meant to speak into that microphone.
It does give me an excellent chance to update our Amazon wishlist to make sure my favourite must-haves are on there though. Our grooming brushes are threadbare, and when you have a coat, mane and tail as luxuriant as mine (and when you’re practically royalty too)...well, it’s a challenge keeping up standards.
That Fast Fibre horse feed is for me too as it’s used to make the mash I need given that I don’t have teeth – but do have a healthy appetite. Most horses snack on hay throughout the day to keep their internal combustion engines working and their bodies warm, but with no teeth I don’t have that option.
And of course a Himalayan salt lick or two is always welcome. Makes me drool just thinking of one of those. The tastiest snacks may not always be the healthy options, but you can’t argue with this one.
Come to think of it, I think one of the volunteers must have added the packs of hand warmers. Wonder if they make a version for hooves? I’m heading to Google…
