Volunteers in the spotlight

The Park Lane Stables story over the last two years has been all about change, as we lost and then secured our Teddington home, and settled into life at our temporary home in Petersham. Plans to refurbish Teddington are underway, and meanwhile we are evolving to meet the increased demand that has resulted from all the media attention.

Throughout all of this our team of volunteers has helped us to deliver more sessions to more people, and our ability to continue to do this will be dependent on them too. So we thought it was about time we added a page about volunteering to this website.

Park Lane Stables has always existed primarily to provide services to vulnerable participants, including many with physical disabilities or learning difficulties. With 90 people currently on our waiting list for regular RDA activities, we have suspended offering riding to anyone beyond that group. Perhaps that will change when we return to Teddington. In the meantime it is fitting that our Riding page has been replaced by Volunteer.

If you have some time to spare and the inclination to spend it helping us to continue our work with more people, we’d love to hear from you. You don’t even need to be horsey.

Find out more about the work our volunteers do and how you could get involved.
