Natalie wins the 2024 RDA Birt Spooner award

Each year the RDA recognises someone who’s made an exceptional and lasting contribution to the lives of disabled individuals through equestrian activities. And in 2024, that person is Natalie.

To put this in context, the RDA is made up of exceptional, dedicated people who are driven on by knowing that the RDA changes the lives of the people it helps. To win in such exalted company is no mean feat.

Natalie says: “I’m totally humbled to be the recipient of The Birt Spooner award, there are so many incredible people in RDA I cannot believe that I won. I am so proud to be part of the RDA and every day is a real privilege. I will continue spreading the message of RDA far and wide and bringing horses in to as many people’s lives as possible.”

Natalie accepted the fabulous gilt cup at the RDA’s 55th anniversary AGM.

As a charity, all of our activities depend on the generosity of our supporters to fund them. If you’d like to help support RDA sessions, or towards the upkeep of our fabulous herd of special ponies, just head over to our Donate page.
