Abingdon RDA comes to visit, watch what we got up to!

On the last Saturday before our summer break, we welcomed our friends from Abingdon RDA on an exchange visit. Talk about ending on a high.

As you can see from the photo, Prodney and I had arranged a full day of activities. There were three simple goals for everyone: learn a new skill, make a new friend, and have fun. Well, we smashed that, and one participant said they achieved their lifelong goal, which was to canter independently. Everyone especially LOVED the carriage driving as it was a first for all of the Abingdon team. We’re so lucky to be able to provide this, thanks to the generosity of H&L Motors for the amazing gift of our specially adapted carriage

We also welcomed a surprise young participant for the first time. She just happened to be passing the Stables, and ended up on a pony and making friends. What a way to end a magical week and head into our break!

This video really captures the day and just makes us happy:

The Riding for the Disabled Association is a network of centres, like Abingdon and Park Lane Stables, that provide a variety of activities for members who have physical or mental difficulties. Read more about our RDA activities and those of Abingdon RDA
