Prodney’s Blog: It’s my birthday, but please don’t send carrots
I've been doing some thinking lately, and I've decided to do something a bit different for my 44th birthday this year. Instead of asking for the usual extra ration of carrots (although those are always appreciated!), I've got my eye on something a bit more... practical.
You see, we will soon be moving back to Teddington and I overheard Natalie talking about needing rubber matting for the stables. And let me tell you, it got me thinking. Rubber matting would be a game-changer for us horses. It would be easier on our joints than bedding on concrete, which makes it so much more comfortable to stand on.
But that's not all—it would also mean less bedding is needed, which translates to fewer trips with the muck-truck to the allotment to dispose of our manure. And you know what that means? Less diesel used, and a smaller carbon hoofprint for our beloved Park Lane Stables.
So, here's where you come in, dear readers. I'm asking for your help to make this birthday wish come true. Instead of sending me a carrot bouquet, why not consider donating to help us purchase the rubber matting for the Teddington stables?
It may not be the most glamorous gift, but trust me, it'll make a world of difference for me and my fellow stablemates.
So, if you're feeling generous and want to make an old horse's birthday wish come true, head on over to our JustGiving page and make a contribution.
From the bottom of my hooves and heart, thank you for your support.
